Mourning of a loved one in Choctaw tradition involves community and support of family
- [Simpson:]
- When a love one passed away a long time ago, people came together. Today, in our modern world, our loved one is brought home in a casket and then people come and view and leave and all that. No one takes the time anymore to help out the family and mourn with them at the time. So our individual wanted to go back to traditional where everyone came in and helped, and that meant your world stops three or four days.
