Stickball season culminates in the Choctaw Annual Fair Tournament

[Thompson:]: Stickball, there’s a lot of teams. We actually play there in our fair that’s annually in July. And it’s actually a stickball tournament, and they call it stickball season. It’s where all the teams practice, and it usually starts in March or April. They start early, and then we’ll all play in the tournament in July. So now it’s—I guess you could say we use it for bragging rights as to where it used to be, you know, for the dispute of the wars, but now it’s just something to showcase our traditions.
