Native American physicians and medical students are powerful examples for young people in their communities

What our Native youth need is role models.
[Lindberg:]
Sure.
[Begay:]
And the very basic idea of having a Native American person from the community go back to that community and say I am a Native American medical student or I am a Native American physician, and by my peer example of just being who I am and actually displaying that for the kids, does wonders.
