Adding Filters (continued)

Using The Browse feature to find additional options for PubMed filters:

Demonstration
Click the steps to run the demonstration.

Step 1: Use the Manage Filters link to reach the PubMed Filters page. (If you are not already signed into My NCBI, you will be prompted to do so.)

There are 4 categories of available filters: Popular, LinkOut, Properties, and Links.

Step 2: Select Properties to see the subject-related filters.

Step 3: Click the Gender filter.

Step 4: For this demo, we’ll choose “Male.” To select this filter, click in the checkbox.

Step 5: Let’s run our search again (child behavior disorders) by following the link in our Recent Activity. Notice this additional filter on the Results page.
