Data Changes

RxNorm now includes a new source - Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Formulary Reference File (SAB=MTHCMSFRF). The Formulary Reference File (FRF) is a listing of drugs that Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Part D plan sponsors must utilize in the submission of Part D formularies to the CMS for review. RxNorm only includes a small subset (less than 10 terms) of the full FRF. For more information on the CMS FRF, visit the CMS Formulary Guidance page.

This release also includes additional prescribable names (TTY=PSN) for many drugs with otic and ophthalmic solution and suspension dose forms, among others.
