This program is an opportunity for graduate students to perform dissertation research within the NLM Division of Intramural Research while enrolled in a doctoral program in the U.S. or abroad.
Length of Award
This opportunity allows recent graduates to spend one or two years performing full-time research at the NLM.
Eligibility
Applicants may be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or foreign nationals. There are two ways for students to participate in this program:
- Individual partnership: Currently enrolled doctoral students at universities worldwide to perform all or part of their dissertation research at the NLM.
- Institutional partnership: Students who want to enroll in a Ph.D. program at a university with an official partnership with the NIH must apply through institutional partnerships.
Application Process
Institutional Partnership applications generally open in August and close in December each year. Individual Partnership applications are open year-round. Additional program details are available on the Graduate Partnerships Program webpage of the NIH Office of Intramural Training and Education.
