NLM Rotation for Biomedical Informatics Trainees

NLM Rotation for Biomedical Informatics Trainees

Program Description

The NLM Rotation for Biomedical Informatics Trainees provides biomedical informatics training and research opportunities to graduate students and postdocs enrolled in NLM extramural Training Grant programs. Trainees interact and collaborate with NLM Intramural Research Program principal investigators and participants in other components of the Training Program. The two-month rotation usually takes place in June and July.

Trainees are paid stipends equivalent to their regular monthly stipends and receive reimbursement for travel to and from NLM and $700 per month housing allowances for two months. A Training Grant may be extended two additional months at a student's home institution to compensate for the time spent in the rotation.

Requirements
Applicants should be NLM Training Grant students at the end of their first or second year of training.
