New "Current Bibliography in Medicine" Examines Ethical Issues in Human Subject Research

In May, the NLM released the latest in its "Current Bibliographies in Medicine" series, Number 99-3, "Ethical Issues in Research Involving Human Participants." The bibliography is available online at www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/cbm/hum_exp.html.

Each bibliography in the CBM series covers a distinct subject area of biomedicine and is intended to fulfill a current awareness function. Citations are derived from searching a variety of online databases, including many in NLM's vast storehouse of information.

This CBM contains 4650 citations to works published between January 1989 and November 1998. It was prepared by Cynthia B. Love, MLS, of NLM's Public Services Division, Elizabeth J. Thomson, MS, RN, National Human Genome Research Institute, and Charmaine D. Royal, PhD, National Human Genome Research Institute and Howard University.
