Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten, North Dakota was the first stop for the Native Voices traveling exhibition. Its opening program, which included a blessing of the exhibition and a ribbon cutting, capped a week of healing events at the college. Panel discussions, an art exhibit, and movies featuring Native American actors drew participants from across the state. Members of the Spirit Lake community joined their voices to those featured in the exhibition through a companion digital story program.
