How Do I Search for a Topic in PubMed?



This module will review some simple search strategies for getting to the results you need quickly. Searching PubMed is as easy as typing a few keywords related to your topic and clicking Search. Plus, PubMed features a search bar on every page.

Let’s start from the PubMed homepage.

You can easily search PubMed by entering a topic into the search bar. As you start typing, PubMed will start auto-populating possible topics.

For example, let’s start typing blood pressure.

You can either select a PubMed suggested topic or finish typing your own. Once you have your topic in the search bar, click the Search button.
