T he PubMed "What's New" strategies are designed to find new items for My NCBI saved searches and PubMed RSS Feeds. They are also designed to limit sending duplicates, i.e., items sent in previous updates. The recent changes to PubMed Automatic Term Mapping necessitated revisions to the strategies to keep duplicates to a minimum. See PubMed [link removed] Help links for details about how PubMed checks for new citations.
