The RxNorm February 2022 monthly release became available for download on Monday, February 7, 2022, and has a significant reduction in active National Drug Codes (NDCs) compared to last month’s release.
Decrease in Active NDCs
The RxNorm full February release contains approximately 23,500 fewer NDCs in active status compared to last month's RxNorm full January 2022 release. This change is a result of information from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Many of the impacted NDCs are associated with hand sanitizer products.
