Candidate Baseline of SNOMED CT and ICNP Cooperative Project, Feedback Due by July 10, 2015.NLM Tech Bull. 2015 May-Jun;(403):b11.

2015 May 28 [posted]

On behalf of the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO), a Candidate Baseline of the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP) and SNOMED CT Cooperative Project is available for download now. This release is a product of an ongoing collaborative agreement between the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the owners of ICNP, and the IHTSDO, the owners of SNOMED CT.

The release contains a bi-directional ICNP—SNOMED CT nursing diagnoses (problems) equivalency table. The source is a subset of more than 500 ICNP diagnostic concepts. Over 120 new concepts were identified and modeled as Clinical Findings in SNOMED CT. This release should be evaluated in the context of the January 2015 SNOMED CT International Edition.

Please note: Currently the Candidate Baseline is distributed for evaluation purposes only and should not be used in production clinical systems or in the clinical setting.

The IHTSDO is requesting for feedback on this Candidate Baseline release. The deadline for feedback is July 10, 2015 via the online feedback form (link opens in Google Forms).

Any additional questions about the Candidate Baseline should be directed to the IHTSDO at support@ihtsdo.org with "SNOMED CT to ICNP Cooperative Project Candidate Baseline" in the subject line.
