The RxNorm September monthly release and release notes are available for download as of Tuesday, September 3, 2019, and include United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Compendial Nomenclature sterile powder for injection terms. USP Compendial Nomenclature was first included in RxNorm using a phased approach beginning with substances, capsules, and tablets. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is pleased to begin including USP injectable product terms.
