National Native Ammerican Youth Initiative Pays a Call on
NLM
On June 20th, a group of 51 outstanding Native American high
school students and their instructors visited the National Library
of Medicine. The students represented 15 states and 33 tribes. Their
three-hour visit included HTML training and a tour of the Library,
including the History of Medicine Reading Room and the Breath of
Life exhibit. NNAYI is an academic enrichment and reinforcement
program coordinated by the Department of Health and Human Services'
Office of Minority Health and the Association of American Indian
Physicians. |
