NIH's Alternative Medicine Chief Visits NLM

Dr. Stephen Straus, NLM Staff Discuss Future Collaborations

Dr. Stephen E. Straus, Director of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, met with Dr. Lindberg and senior staff at the National Library of Medicine on June 6th, to discuss how NCCAM and NLM can enhance access to information about complementary and alternative medicine, building on previous collaboration between NLM and the NIH Office of Alternative Medicine. While at NLM, Dr. Straus visited the exhibit, Classics of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the NLM Collection, which was organized by Young Rhee, Margaret Feng, and Yoshiko Doherty of the Library's staff. NLM's collection has strong coverage of both historical and contemporary works dealing with complementary and alternative medicine.
