National Native Ammerican Youth Initiative Pays a Call on NLM

On June 20th, a group of 51 outstanding Native American high school students and their instructors visited the National Library of Medicine. The students represented 15 states and 33 tribes. Their three-hour visit included HTML training and a tour of the Library, including the History of Medicine Reading Room and the Breath of Life exhibit. NNAYI is an academic enrichment and reinforcement program coordinated by the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Minority Health and the Association of American Indian Physicians.
