//grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-11-050.html
Purpose
The purpose of the NIH Summer Research Experience Program (referred to as the "Summer Research Program") is to provide a high quality research experience for high school and college students during the summer academic break. The NIH expects that such programs will: help attract young students to careers in science; and provide opportunities for college students to gain valuable research experience to help prepare them for graduate school. The programs would also contribute to enhancing overall science literacy. Please refer to the full funding opportunity announcement at //grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-11-050.html for further information.
NLM will only accept applications from its funded University-based informatics training programs (T15). Applications will only be accepted for support of high school students or undergraduate college students.
This funding opportunity announcement expires September 7, 2012 unless reissued. Only electronic applications are accepted.
