IHM OAI-PMH Service

The Images from the History of Medicine (IHM) Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) Service has been discontinued as of June 1, 2016.

Digital Collections

On June 1, 2016, Images from the History Medicine (IHM), the National Library of Medicine (NLM), History of Medicine Division’s (HMD) online database of historical images, has been decommissioned from its Luna Imaging platform, and launched in its new home in NLM’s Digital Collections, the Library’s free online resource of over 16,000 biomedical books and moving images.

Web Service

The National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Digital Collections offers a search-based Web service that provides access to the Dublin Core metadata and full-text OCR of every resource in the repository in XML format. Developers can use the Web service to build applications that query and link to these resources.
