July Release - 07/06/2015

This release of RxNorm is consistent with the 2015AA UMLS Metathesaurus release. For additional information about RxNorm releases, including scripts for loading the RxNorm data into Oracle and MySQL databases, read the RxNorm technical documentation.

Data Changes

New Injectable Dose Form
For the July release, RxNorm includes one new injectable dose form: Pen Injector. This dose form occurs in a few new drugs and some drugs that were in line to be modified in RxNorm already as part of the prescribable names project.

New Topical Dose Form
RxNorm also includes one new topical dose form: Topical Suspension. Only a few new drugs use this dose form.
