We are pleased to inform you that the Value Set Authority Center (VSAC) now includes the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Present on Admission (POA) Indicators code system. Value Set authors are now able to choose these codes to insert into their value sets.

VSAC now has the most recent provisional terminology codes published by LOINC®, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These pre-release special use provisional codes were developed by LOINC in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and they are based on the most up to date information available at the time of their creation.

Value set authors who create COVID-19 related value sets can Contact NLM to request their COVID-19 value sets be included in a prefiltered VSAC search.
