The purpose of the EnHIP Outreach and Engagement Award is to enhance the capacity of minority institutions to advance health equity through the access, use, and delivery of NLM and/or NIH/HHS information resources and services on campuses and in communities.

Award project topics include environmental health, health and science literacy, data science, open science, and climate change.

Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and the University of Texas at El Paso were both awarded the 2023–2024 EnHIP Outreach and Engagement Award. Both institutions will use their award to expand resource development, online searching, and reference services.
