Hookworm is a parasite that can infect the body. The main image in this poster shows how hookworms enter the human body and infect the small intestine. A smaller image shows the anatomy of male and female hookworms and their eggs, and another image shows how hookworm eggs are spread from the feces of those infected.
About the Book
This poster series produced by the Propaganda Office of the Central Ministry of Health in 1952 uses panels of images to educate citizens on the various ways of preventing disease from keeping their environment, water, and food clean to getting vaccinations and eradicating vectors of disease like lice, mosquitoes, and flies
