Black fever, or leishmaniasis is caused by an infection of leishmania parasites which are spread from the bites of sandflies. This poster shows a farmer receiving a shot at a black fever prevention station and includes illustrations of a sandfly and Leishmania donovani, the black fever parasite. The scenes pictured below show ways to prevent sandflies around the house.
