Quick Medical Reference (QMR) was developed by Randolph A. Miller at the University of Pittsburgh in 1980. It was based upon the University of Pittsburgh’s INTERNIST-I patient diagnosis system.
QMR is used to help diagnose adult diseases by providing access to information about the most common diseases seen by internists, including medical histories, symptoms, physical signs, and laboratory test results.
