The Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) Program was developed and is maintained by the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI).

SEER provides information on cancer incidence and survival in the U.S.

SEER is a source of cancer incidence and survival data collected from a number of population-based cancer registries throughout the US.

Metathesaurus Scope
The Metathesaurus representation of SEER only includes mappings between the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) and the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10) for neoplasm codes. No source atoms are included.

SEER is intended for anyone interested in US cancer statistics or cancer surveillance methods, including researchers, clinicians, public health officials, legislators, policymakers, community groups, and the public.
