Remarks on the Abracadabra of the Nineteenth Century; or on Dr. Samuel Hahnemann's Homœopathic medicine,…, William Leo-Wolf, MD, New York, 1835

William Leo-Wolf, a German born and trained physician who immigrated to the United States, wrote an historically based critique of the "mysteries" of homeopathic medicine (whose practitioners believe disease could be cured by a substance that produces the disease's symptoms in healthy people).
