Dr. Harvey Cushing and a young patient, 1928

Neurosurgeon Harvey Cushing (1869-1939) had been a junior colleague of renowned physician and educator William Osler (1849-1919) at Johns Hopkins University before moving on to a distinguished career at Harvard and Yale.
